I had a hard time getting started do More Things. To tell the truth if we didn't get the extenstion I probalby would not have made it. But once I buckled down and got to it I really enjoyed it just like the first one. I definitly would do something like this again.

Thing 46: Webjunction Minnesota

I've been a member for awhile and I have done some free classes. I think think it a great site. Classes were very informative and you could do them as you had time.

Thing 45: Cloud Computer

Joining the cloud would have the advantage of being able to access your things from anywhere you are. Would be very good if you have to travel allot for work and you need to get your information. Don't know about the security issue but I think if anyone is going to get into your account they will do it.

Thing 44: The Economy

I checked out some the the sites and I liked MN Gardening and U of M Extension Garden Information, Fuel Economy. gov the best. As for the banking 2.0 I wouldn't use because my own bank as its own site that does most of that stuff.

Thing 43: Online TV & Video

I have never watched anything online TV before. This will be great when I miss an episode of NCIS. For me it wont change my watching TV habit it just that I will be able to watch what I missed. I also don't think it will change most people habits of
watching real TV.

Thing 42: Music 2.0

I have used internet radio before as for using pandora I don't know I'll have to see what happens. Maybe if I use it enough I might not be able to quit.

Thing 41: Mashup Your Life

I signed up for Lifestream and added all by accounts and it will alot easier to check in one place instead of each one separately.

Thing 40: Mashup the web

I don't know if this is what I was suppose to do is this blog but I did embed something from Walkable which is kind of cool. Would be nice if you go visiting you can see where all the places of interest are and that you could walk to them. I checked out Book tour and Bubblr. Book tour would be o.k. to check up on a favorite author and where they are going to be.

Thing 39: Digital Storytelling

Make a Smilebox scrapbook

This was so much fun!!! I used Smilebox it was so easy and fun. I could do this all the time. These would work good in the library to document and event and print it and have available for patrons to look at.

Thing 38: Screencasting

I started this thing last night as a read through it I thought I don't think I can do this. The more I thought about it the worst it got so I thought I'll try tomorrow morning and see how it works. Well, It did it. I used Screencast o matic because I thought it was the easiest for me. As you can see I didn't do anything hard. I believe this would be a real help to the library by showing how to use library web site and such.

Thing 37: Photo Tales

I use Flickrslidr and it was really easy to use. You could use it in the library when you want to show whats been happening in the library,

Thing 36: Comic Relief Generate Some Fun

I had a lot of fun playing around with everything. You could use alot of these to make your library blog fun. As of yet our library as not used any generators. Doing the comic generator was easy and you could use it in the library by posting a different one each day.

Thing 35 Boook 2.0

I have noticed in our library that adult reading as increased while teen reading had stayed the same or decreased. I don't thing Book 2.0 will hamper the library if anything it might increase the usage by give patrons more chooses of books that are out there and being able to read reviews about the book. There will always be patrons who would want to hold the real book. As for getting books on your phone and ipod might be popular with the teens and young adults because they are so busy and always using them anyway. I liked What's Should I read next and Overbooked and bookglutton. It was fun to read all the reviews.

Thing 34: Is It Competition? Online Answer Sites

The appeal to online answer sites is that you can do it anywhere you are and it is private. You definitely need to be aware of where your answers are coming from and you ask a question on any of these sites. Some of the questions I found on the sites were personal questions that you might not want to ask a librarian. And yes some questions could have been answered at the library such as a phone number or address, or a history question. I think the people that use these don't know about all the resources that the library as available for them.

I went to the travel blog Notes from the Road, I thought it was very interesting to see where people have gone and what they thought of the place. I can see using this if you traveled alot and wanted to let others know about your trip. As for the review sites i liked Trip advisor best and will use it when I plan a trip. I don't know how much these would be used in library only if someone is planning a trip.

Thing32 Google Maps and Mashups

I found google mashups very interesting. I likes the most dangerous road on earth and hotspotr and imap weather. I don't know why but I had a little trouble with creating a map.

Thing 30: More Ways to Use RSS & Delicious

I have been using my rss to keep up with things that are going on with libraries and also the I like it to check the weather. I don't use it as often as I should. As for Delicious I don't use it because I have my bookmarks somewhere else and as for tags I really don't care to share what I am interested in.

Thing 29 Google Tools/ Productivity

I have been using g mail since I start 23 things on a stick. Today I updated my gmail by adding google search, create document, title tweaks, insert images, calendar gadget. An changed the background. I think i will use the calendar alot.

Thing 29 Goggle Tools/ Alerts

I picked alerts to try . It was real easy to set up. this is very helpful in receiving alerts on the subjects you pick right away this is useful in library and personal use. I use it to get alerts on weather and new about libraries.

THing 28 Customized Homepage

I chose iGoogle as my homepage because I had already signed up for that one. It was very easy to set up. I added a calender, clock, weather updates. It was alot of fun looking thur all the gadgets you can put on your homepage. I can see using this in the library for staff to keep up with whats going on in the library all in one spot.

Thing 27 Twitter

I set up a twitter account and my user name is goldenlibrary. I search for some library followers and added them to my account. I spend alot on time checking out the things you can add to twitter. I think it would time consuming to do it all the time. I tried to put a badge on the blog but I couldn't get it to work.

I already was a member of ning. I went and updated my profile and added some pictures , apps, and left a comment.

Thing 25

I looked at a lot the the things. I did the email to the post which I thought was good. I added some widget to the blog.I spent way to much time checking out all the options you can put on the blog. Maybe when I have more time I can come back and actually add some more.

It took me a while to get going on More Things after I registered but here I go. I did some changes on my blog (changed color, added a gadget). I didn't do alot of blogging after 23things but I did read other blog and enjoyed reading them.
